E’ un dipinto di transizione che conferma il ritorno dell’artista dalle sperimentazioni del polimaterico al mezzo pittorico tradizionale. La tela è caratterizzata da una vivacissima policromia con effetti ritmici e ornamentali che riempiono tutta la superficie. Pennellate che, anche se non ottengono ancora profondità spaziali, perseguono l’indagine sul movimento

MOVEMENTS -1984 – It’s an oil on canvas, cm 165×148 – It’s a painting of transition which confirms the artist’s return from the experiments of different materials to the traditional medium of painting. The canvas is characterized by a lively polychromy with rhythmic effects and ornamental that fill the entire surface. Brushstrokes that even if they don’t get even the depths of space, pursue the investigation of the motion.

L’AUTORE

Nato nel 1936, artista che subisce numerose evoluzioni nell’ambito dell’astratto. Esordisce con il figurativo alla fine degli anni ’50 e continua con le fascinazioni del Fauvismo e dell’Espressionismo di matrice tedesca, presto approda alle superfici ingombre di segni e spirali aggrovigliate, pronte ad esplodere in un turbinio di spazi di colore.Le opere esposte nei padglioni della fiera sono quelle che documentano il graduale sprigionarsi dell’energia data dal colore, anche quando negli anni successivi viene introdotto l’elemento luce che conferisce volume e azione alle pennellate.Con il dipinto Senza Titolo (firmato Celi ’89) presente in Galleria troviamo il nuovo rapporto creato dall’avvicinamento del giallo al rosso.

 Vincenzo Celi – Born in 1936, an artist who undergoes many changes as part of the abstract. He made his debut with the figurative in the late fifties and he continues with the fascinations of fawismo and of expressionism of German, soon he arrives to the surfaces littered with signs and tangled spirals, ready to explode in a flurry of splashes of colour. The works shown in the exhibition stands of the Fair are those that document the gradual energy given off by the colour,  even when in later years, the element of light that gives volume and action to the brush strokes is introduced. With the painting “Untitled” (signed Celi) that it’s present in this Gallery we find a new report created by the approach from yellow to red.
